the yahoo time capsule, i dont have any pictures of her and want to put a pic in for the time capsule. will i have to ask permission from the website and how?
i would put the source and stuff but would it count as project work? (as i read you are allowed with project work and research without permission as long as you put the source)

It's not a direct link to the picture, its the link to the website. I'm not going to put the link to the picture here, I only put the link to the site in case different types of sites had different rules or something.

It's a newspaper's website, she was in the newspaper a while ago and agreed to have her picture put on.

Only if you took the picture and own the copyright. You may also need the consent of the person unless it was taken in a public setting.
From what you've posted, the newspaper probably owns the copyright to the photo. You'll need to get their permission to use the picture.

i think you can right click and save the pic and then upload to where ever you want but most rules are that you have to have the persons permission who the photo is of, but i use pics of my brothers and his g/f without asking.
did she put the pic on there herself or was it put on by someone else cuz i never ask permission from the website if i taking pics from my familes profiles etc on myspace.
but im not sure about the laws (if there are any) sorry huni

It's better and safer to have a written permission before using anything from another website
