where is shift solenoid?

I'd like to know where is situated the shift solenoid on a Suzuki esteem 1996, automatic transmission. Is it above or underneath the transmission?

It is in the transmission. To get to it you have to remove the transmission pan.

I thought the Edsel was the last car or only car to use electric shifting (uses solenoids) :)
