My opinion is that it is just a day where kids and adults can get candy have parties and converse with friends

The various traditions have to do with keeping mischievious spirits away and whatnot... but the fundamental importance of it is to look at our fears so they do not control us, to honor the dead in the hope of life after death, and heck with it, to have fun.

It's a day to dress up and have fun! You can choose to dress up sexy,scary,cute,gross, ect.
It's a holiday for all ages!
