emergency surgery....cause if it is lacerated that basically means it was cut and if the bleeding isnt stopped a person will bleed out really quickly...it is a life and death situation....since the liver filters toxins from the body all that bad stuff can also flow into the body and cause infection...bad bad stuff....hopefully whoever it is that has a lacerated liver is getting help and will be ok...God Bless

It means that the liver got slashed or torn, I think this usually has to be repaired via surgery.
