Well in most states it's illegal to own these animals. I would guess since they are on the black market they are about $1-2 million at least.

1.You would have to go to classes first off on how to take care of a Lion.
2.You would have to have an exotic wildlife permit. Depended upon what animal your wanting it could be expensive. I know for a Komoto Dragon, just for the paperwork not the actual permit was $60,000. I asked a guy who has one.
3. You would have to pay the breeder.
And the list goes on and on.
But guess what happens to the Lion if you don't want it anymore and it can't find a new home! It is put to sleep :(

Very expensive.
You would have to pay for the Lion. Prices would greatly vary.
Pay for the enclosure.
Pay for a Zoo license.
And the most expensive part would be paying for it's food.
30 pounds of raw meat a day.
Check out this site for smaller exotic cats....just for fun....

The price of the Lion
The cost of an adequate size cage
Attorney fees when your neighbor protest
High dollar insurance when your home owners insurance finds out you have a lion on your property.
Cost to feed him and or her (Meat Only)
And more insurance when he eats your neighbors kids.

no lion can be tamed completely...they can and will go back to their natural instinct eventually. the cost-figure it up...getting here to the US or where ever you live, food, cage and proper habitat + any fines for owning one in the first place
