i just wanted to know the basics behind beer-lambert law?

The Beer-Lambert law has the following equation:

A = ecd (A: absorbance, e: extinction coefficient, c: concentration, d: pathlength)

It basically states that absorbance of a solution depends on its concentration, assuming the path length is constant.
