try raising the tire pressures to the tire rated max, that may help, yu also may have bad shocks :(

The answer is Chevies in general tend to sway due to them being front heavy. They did not fix this problem till 2002 models. My 92 Tahoe does and my bros 91 Astro did too.

I'm no car pro but my aunt had the exact same kind of van and the same problem, have your sway bar checked and your stabilizer bar. Even if there is a small crack in either one your van will sway badly, and that my friend is very, very dangerous.

Could be you've got it overloaded, or the alignment is out of whack, or you're driving in cross winds or near large trucks, or the road has ruts. Vans are high profile vehicles and are prone to swaying under various circumstances like the above.

There is a bar known as an anti sway bar. Over time this bar looses the rubber bushings and need replaceing.
Have the sway bar bushings checked.

I'd look under the front and see if you have a broken sway bar link first.
