There has been a strike against voting for quite some time. Then the "strikers" complain about who got into government!

some people would not strike and end up determining the winners with a very small vote numerically. we sort of have that system already. many voters boycot the election from disgust or apathy so a minority of the nation does the voting for us all.
very few eligible voters get registered and very few registered voters vote. I think that about 30,000,000 people run the country while 270,000,000 sit it out and watch and complain.
sp you one vote is like 10 votes. so VOTE!

This has almost happened already in America. Of those eligible to vote only 50% bother to register. Of those registered only about 50% actually bother to vote. That means only 25% of eligible voters in the U.S. decide the results of elections. It is partly due to apathy, but most feel that the issues and candidates don't really apply to them or their daily life concerns. In regard to candidates many people feel that no one is worth their vote. Too many scandals and ethics problems over the years has contributed to this.

you absolutely can not do that cause all it would take is one re-tart to vote and that would be the majority. what we need to do as a country wide strike is stop paying all taxes. government runs on taxes and if we cut that off you will turn heads fast

Some people will always vote. I don't believe it would make a difference. Less than one third of eligible voters in the United States vote. It's bad enough already.
If you can legally vote and you care enough to be informed, please VOTE!

Then the extremists of this world would be the only ones to vote, and they would have the power to make laws governing our lives.

There will ALWAYS be people willing to cross the "picket line". Then we will be stuck with the choice of only a few people.
I sure don't want to chance that outcome.

There would be a low voter turnout at the polls. Which means basically there would be no change.
