No, because it encourages having false relationships rather than really getting to know someone.
That's why "online dating" only works to match people up and help them meet. You can't have a significant relationship over the internet.
There are other kinds of sites for sharing info the way MySpace does without trying to serve as a universal adress book.
There are more people in the county you live in (remember RL?) than you could know from MySpace.
I say go find real people, not identities.

I do like becuase its a way to keep in touch with old friends (i try not to make any new ones, because I dont know them)

They is some freaky people on there. I only accept people I know as friends and set my profile to private unless you are a friend. But that's just me, I guess.

No I hate the egotistical pile of "unconformist" losers being alternative, while making you listen to their music. Its an intellectual black hole and can burn in hell.
