I don't think most realize what "production car" means.
The fastest non production car is the K2 based out of california. An ex ford top designer is behind it. It eats the McLaren F1 for breakfast on the track...but its not production...only 2 in existance.
The fastest production car, meaning there is an assembly line and mulitple units are produce each year and are formed to standards set for by the internation driving market would be the McLaren F1.

Well this is a muit question.
What difference does it make when, if you want to be legal you can't drive faster then the speed limit. Unless you live in Germany there the auto bond is you cant go faster then the speed limit.
So it does not matter what is the fastest production car.
A Lombardy is the fastest production car.
