Lol thats funny a friends cat does that too!
It carrys it around the house, lays on it and puts it the water bowl. Looks funny watching a cat toss a hair tie around.
Sorry I can't answer your question!

I got my cat from the pound three years ago and I am the ONLY human that has touched him since. He is the most snuggly cat I have ever seen but runs at the sight of anyone else. He also puts my ponytail holders in his food, and quite often meows and meows until I watch him eat. He is quite the hunter and will talk to me until I find whatever kill he has brought in (He ALWAYS leaves them in MY dining room) I think he just likes the scent of my 'fur' near him when he eats and like to bring me food in return for me giving it to him, but wants to share the scent. He is a black tabby and likes to sleep on my pillow (again near my hair). My other cat couldn't care less about an of it!

I'm always finding things in my shoes that my cat put there. They love to play.

He's just a playful fella! Mine knocked my cell phone off the coffee table, rolled around with it and batted it under the couch the other day!

cats love hair ties. every cat i've ever had has stolen mine and batted them around. just keep them up if you don't want him getting them.

We have a tabby that does the same thing. She's 18 years old & has been doing it since she was a kitten. I still have no idea why.

Umm, he's probably a little crazy. It isn't that rare (I hope). One of my cats eats himself, and the doctor said he might be crazy.

You know, cats get bored. They have to do something to occupy their minds all day!
