I do not know, I hate it so much, the only good thing I ever got out of it was laughing at some of the ridiculous complaints people made, other than that I find working in retail monotonous, boring, and often get treated badly as a member of staff, because for a lot of high street stores/supermarkets it means nothing to lose a member of staff, they can easily replace you!

NOTHING. This industry is the worst industry imagineable because of the following factors:
1) Always have to have a smile on your face dealing with customers
2) the pay isn't good.
3) On your feet all day
4) Robbed at gunpoint at night before the store closed.
5) No weekends off nor holidays
Go find yourself another industry to work in unless you are a people person.

I used to work in retail, and the best part for me, was meeting so many different people every day.

The best part of working retail is the day you tell your boss that you quit!
It is a dead-end go-no-where job....one of the worst I ever had!

You would get to interact with alot of different people and maybe get a discount on products. Once you get a hang of it - it's a pretty easy job.
