I haven't used paypal since last year, and when I tried to this week, it came up WRONG PASSWORD. I have not changed this since I opened the account, and always use lowercase. When I tried to answer the secret questions, it asked for bank acc number stating it ended in 17. this was incorrect, also my first school when I used mothers maiden name. Have had two email contacts from paypal, and I still have got knowhere. There is £132. in the account.
One more thing, since yesterday while I was trying to sort this out, My emails all lit up blue as if I hadn't read any of them , and they remain so. Any ideas why please.?

Yes I did a few months ago. I had an email from them asking for password and bank details etc. I was pretty new to this fraud business and luckily I didn't enter my details but I later heard it was most likely a con. Never enter your bank details and never contact pay pal by email. Go to their homepage and use the links there. You can report fraud too and someone will help you. Without seeing it I can't say it is fraudulent especially as there is still money in the account but to be on the safe side contact pay pal via their website, not email. The fraudsters may wait a few days or so before accessing the account if they did get hold of your details. Sorry I can't be more precise but good luck anyway.

I want you to know that "PayPal, is used by every criminal hacker in the world to steal your credit card data, identity thief.

If you have a credit with them, please try and get your money back. Plus if I was you, I would never use any webpage where your want to purchase their product and they use "PayPal".

The reasons why the hackers pick on PayPal, is because their security sucks.

I am a clinical & forensic psychiatrist with alot of experience in "crypto". And PayPal, as very very poor "crypto", that a child can break their codes.

With the problem that you have written, I would be calling my bank to see if there has been any unusual purchases on my credit card. An I would also take them a copy of your emails and show them to the bank manager. Because it would be in your very best interest if they will give you a new credit card #, without you having to pay the bank for the service.

If you like to purchase product on the internet, use any other payment credit card service other then "PayPal.

Here is an interesting link about how the criminal hackers work from BBC NEWS that I receive everyday from London, England

Open this link and read how the criminal hackers work and get rich quick. And they are so smart that they hide al their money in off shore banking, and change proxy on a daily basis, with no evidence left behind.

It sounds like your account has been hijacked. Paypal's security is absolutely terrible. Have a look at paypalsucks.com - it's a real eye opener. Keep plugging away at Paypal and it may eventually get sorted out. Or, get all the Paypal bigwigs' email addresses from paypalsucks.com and send them all a message, you might get some resolution quickly. I hope this helps xxx

Weird why not go on eBay and try and buy something for pennies using your pay pal account , perhaps it will bring your account out of hibernation and allow you to access it properly .

I wouldn't worry to much because on line banking is saturated with laws preventing fraud so you will get your money but how long you wait is any ones guess . good luck
