I have been on yahoo chat for 2 days and the only people who seem to want to chat r blokes who only want to get my msn and see pic of me and watch me on webcam but when i tell them i don't have either they don't want to know why is that?
Admittedly i have spoken to a few nice guys but majority are as above.

Hey it is a disease in computers called idiotitis....have you looked at some of the questions and answers even on this site? You just have to be selective and tell the creeps to get lost. Eternal (the first answer) is actually incredibly smart once you get past the, oh how to say it, strangeness in his answers and even questions. I guess what I am saying is that on a computer a guy or girl can be anyone they want to be and that gives them more gall and guts. Just weed through them.

Sort of the same thing for me, although from a different direction.. What I noticed in chatrooms (at least the ones that AOL has and the ones yahoo operates..) is that there are alot of what I call "pornbots"..
These bots will message me and attempt to get me to go to some website or look at some webcam or something. Perhaps the guys that are asking to see you on your webcam or whatever are trying to see if you are a real person or not.
Perhaps they are perverted too..
Anyways, I have met many real people online, men and women, and they were normal people. But its very hard to meet people via the chatroom setting. In fact, that is how I discovered yahoo answers. I wanted something where I could sort of "chat" with other people whenever I wanted, and talk about whatever I wanted, without having to deal with all of the negative aspects of a chatroom (spam, pornbots, etc).
There are still a few bad apples here who are racist or try to trick people into visiting scam websites, but the majority of people here are good, normal people. Anyways, to sum it up.. Talk to the people that you are comfortable with talking to. If somebody starts to act weird toward you then you can do one of three things: you can stop talking to him, ignore the weirdness or you can be honest and tell him the truth about how he is acting.

Because they get on the net feeling horny and think that they can get some video action for free and all that Jazzz!!
I guess you know that it's not worth the effort if within Min's that is what they want.
Lookout there are perv's about!
Chat rooms all seem to move a bit to quick for me I do not understand the rules and the hidden language so steer clear.
Has to be said tho I have not tried it for a year or so!

They only want to see your naughty bits. If you say yes I have a pic, then send them one. . . . the next question will be, do you have one of you nude? - Try it, you'll see i'm telling the truth.
And don't get a cam, they have a program at http://www.oatmealmedia.net that can view you without you knowing.
Chat in general is a waste of time these days.

It's not just the men, its the women also. I cant count the times that women have ask for a pic or cam site, women all the time asking if i want to cyber, hell no i dont want to cyber, whats the reason for it, I dont want to talk about sex. If i want sex i want the real deal not just a bunch of talk with a stranger over the internet.

Know what you mean... I'm married, but hubby is away a lot....I get the same..'whats your msn Addy???'..'do you have a web cam?' sad desperate weirdo's if you ask me..who can't go out and meet a real woman..as they're either ugly or can't drag themselves away from the computer!

We want to see if you are who you describe yourself as .... it has been my experience that all chicks in chat rooms are 300lbs + have a handle bar mustach .... not trying to be a jerk or anything but just point out the ovious.

coz most men think girls who go on chatrooms just want 2 flash n see the men flash. they dont realise that not all girls want the same as the men do
