I started using mascara and eyeliner in 6th grade. You can start using whenever you want. As long as you feel comfortable and confident! Good luck!

Depends if you feel you need it. Start with something light like lipgloss and if you like, try a bit of eyeshadow, just don't slap it on or you'll look like a drag queen. The idea is to accentuate features, not colour yourself in. If you have good clear skin, don't use foundation. If you feel you need a little bit of coverage, try a tinted moisturiser first, as it's less heavy on your skin, and you can get ones that help with spots, have sun protection etc. After you've played with them, try a bit of mascara and eyeliner, but again, don't plaster it on. When you're younger, with lovely fresh features, it looks more obvious you're wearing make up so take it easy. If you are unsure, have a practice in your bedroom when no one else is around, cos you can always wash it off before any one sees! Get some good cleanser or face wash too. Make sure that you use clean brushes and wash your face at the end of the day, and that should help keep your skin clear. Good luck, and enjoy being all girly and gorgeous!

That is up to you and your mother and father. You are wise to ask for advice and should work with someone in a department store to get make-up that does not damage the skin. Use a pretty good store and not just a Wal-Mart. A slow start from 13 or 14 until 16 should be OK. If you go slow and use good products, you will be far ahead of the girls who went whole hog early and look like Britney and Christina and that is not good as they play act at being bad girls. Means you could look like a bad girl so go easy.

Start now there is a good treatment:

You will need-
Neutral Eye Shadow
Clear Gloss
Neutral Lip Liner(optional)
Mosturizer
Blush
Neutral Nail Polish

1) Prep your skin by applying mosturizer.
2)Smile! This will help you find the apples of your cheeks, the firm fleshy part that is most prominent when you are grinning. Apply a little blush, make sure to blend well.
3)Apply neutral eye-shadow cover the entire lid but not the the brow bone part,
4)Apply a light coat of mascara if it gets clumpy use lash comb.
5) Use lip liner if you want and apply a coat of clear gloss.
6) Last but not least apply nail polish.

This treatment will make you loook fabulous and it will look like you haven't used make-up at all!!

Now is fine IF you can use makeup to enhance your natural beauty, rather than trying to show off your makeup. Subtle is the key.. There is an art to makeup, emphasizing your best features and de-emphasizing the features you would prefer to keep private. For instance, to enhance cheekbones, use the lightest shade right on the cheekbone, and darker below the cheekbone. This is called "contouring" I recommend going to a Mary Kay or Avon, or another cosmetic specialist, so you can benefit from their training, rather than buying through department stores.

When my daughter was right about your age, I think she was 13, I happened to be selling a makeup line. I had put all my old makeup away in a drawer and forgot about it, as I was using the better quality makeup I was selling. My daughter went behind my back and took the old makeup and was using it behind my back. When I discovered that, I knew it was time to buy her some quality makeup and teach her how to use it correctly. The lesson here for you, work with your Mom, or guardian to use quality makeup correctly, rather than sneaking. Quality makeup won't ruin your skin, as long as you wash your face with gentle soap before going to bed at night. Just remember that you are beautiful the way you are, and use makeup to enhance that beauty, rather than hide it.

If you don't want to ruin your skin, don't wear anything that covers your whole face just do your eys and lips (maybY CHEEKS)
There is no time that you SHOULD wear make up, it is how strongly you feel about keeping your skin healthy.
After you start though after a few years you will get bored and only wear it occasionally, but if you start now and wear it everyday for years then you will NEED it to look good.

Don't wear make up at all. Feed your skin with lots of water and have the bare look. It's more flattering and natural. Foundation clogs your skin and gives you spots. Eyeshadows stain the eye lids are years of using them. Mascara will make you eye lashes come out. No matter what type of eye make up remover you use. If you start wearing make up at a young age you will do damage to your skin as a lot of products have a lot of chemicals in them. Keep your face fresh looking and don't use any at all.

I started when I was 15 not knowing what I know now about skin damage , if you don't need it don't !!
As everytime you use it you rub your eyes to get it off, this causes the delicate skin around the eyes to stretch a little , so you will wrinkle a lot sooner the more you use make up ,a lesson I wish I had been taught !!

Hi there,
My daughter is 12 and she has been using makeup for a year or two now. She doesn't use foundation and i wouldn't recommend that you do either. Your skin is too young for that, and as young people are prone to spots, it wouldn't be a good idea to help them along by clogging up your pores with foundation.
If you feel you wish to use makeup, then do as my daughter does and just stick to a little pale eye shadow and lip gloss. She also uses eyeliner and mascara quite often; but if you decide to as well, just remember to not over do it; you want to enhance your features and not end up looking like some painted doll. Also please remember to clean it off before you go to bed with proper makeup remover.
Well good luck experimenting and have fun.

Honestly unless you have bad acne or are attending a special function I wouldn't use much make up until I was 18. If you do want to wear make-up more often keep it simple, with translucent powder and maybe some gloss. Too much make-up and product stress the skin, causing break-outs or allergic reactions.

Like any product there not good for your skin, because too much chemical in it, so is up to u, but less makeup is better, u see on tv kids use makeup at a young age, so less makeup is better, i say anything for lips is ok, but stay away from face powder, cream, alot of chemical on your skin will make your skin look old as u grow older, stay natural but use little makeup for little color on lips, dnt matter age, 14 is ok,
