Both have rewards to them. I consider myself and artsy and creative person. The market for Interior Designer I think is bigger and if people like your work the chance to make good money is there as well...although you make be somewhat restricted due to the fact you kinda have to tailor to the kind of designs or themes they--your client--is looking. Whereas being a fashion designer...and independent one that is can be hard to get into unless you are contracted under a certain label like Michael Kors etc...where creativity can be more limited but the prestige of the job as an independent designer....if a person makes it can be more rewarding...because you see YOUR own designs on people.
Do whatever your heart feels is right...and it can be hard but if you work hard you can make it. Good luck and have a good one--Jammie Girl

I say Interior Design. I have a BA in Interior Design. You can do a lot more with an Interior Design degree. I've had a job at an Architectural Design Firm, a furniture dealership, and I'm currently a Project Manager for a fabrication company. One skill you need to really learn is how to draw on AutoCAD. I've had to use it with each of my jobs. Also, look into a college that FIDER (Foundation for Interior Design Education Required) credited. For a college to be FIDER credited, they have to qualify and teach specific criteria that is very important to your Interior Design career. Hope this helps and good luck!
