my husband & I are both firstborns! We don't fit ANY of the things that they say get along well--2 first borns, a libra (me) and a virgo (him) a sanguine (me) and a choleric (him)--that's two very dominant personalities. We loved each other and from the start loved that neither would take any crap from the other; we loved the honesty AND the tenderness in our relationship. After the first year or so, it was VERY difficult because we both thought we were the captain of the ship, not the other. We fought a LOT and almost divorced once or twice (especially after we had our second baby); HOWEVER, the same strength and stubbornness that made us love each other, then not be able to gt along at all, was the stubbornness that made us determined to make it work and find the joy we originally had with each other. We are so in love now--for the last 2 or 3 years, and have been married for nearly 10 years. I can safely say that we are both committed to each other for life at this point. But if you asked me that several years ago, I would have said it might have ended in divorce. At any rate, we stuck through the hard times, let it bond us together even more, and are very committed to each other's happiness and wellbeing now. TOUGH BUT WORTH IT!!! :)
