If you want to buy celeron m then :
-make sure you are buying a cheap laptop
-celeron m is fixing the celeron mistake
-AMD sempron is much faster
-the prices of all processors with single core are dropping
as dual-core and now quad-core are invading the city

celeron will work good but will be like walking in mud if you press it
even my pentium does it on weekly schedule

make sure that you buy a good processor and RAM
a good processsor wont work good without good ram

For what you have said you want to use it for it is fine.

I understand that a celeron processor is one that maths co processor is disabled or a bit faulty when tested in the factory they are not produced on purpose but some of them go wrong when they are being made but not to an extent where they are useless just not top end so they market all of these ones as celerons.

If you want to use it fro graphics and games then better to steer clear but for general use fine.

Hope helps.

Really no....the pentium m is an older lower end processor. you can get a nice laptop with a intel core duo or amd 64 turion for around 650 and up at any store like best buy or compusa. And if you were to buy a new laptop at a store like that and they try to sell you on the service plans....get it! ask them what it covers most places will cover the screen for most kinds of damage pixels or just plain broke. and the battery, the battery will only last for 2 to 3 years if you charge it right and they will cost around 150 to 200. which will pay for the service plan.

Would suit your needs, but it's not top of the line.

Everything becomes obsolete after about 2-3 years these days, and that's about how old that processor is.

it is a good cheap processor. i use one and it dose not slow down at all.

note: i DL movies all day with no problems, it DLs at the same speed as if i was using a RJ45 connection. i have a toshiba satellite

O it works good for star craft, but not for world of warcraft

It is fine for office applications, but painfully slow if you want to do gaming.
