You could predict the possible DNA combinations of an offspring. But, there are literally millions of different subsets of DNA in gamete production. So, you couldn't tell the exact DNA from just the parents DNA. If that were possible, all of the parents offspring would have the same DNA.

It is possible to predict the SET of offsprings possible. Because it is possible in theory to calculate all the permutations of all the genes of the parents, and the way they can combine. This set would contain an astronomic number of permutations and possibilities though, because our traits and genetic heritage are so vast and diverse.

Also, it would not really work well in practice because mutations occur pretty frequntly, although sometimes unnoticably. And you can never predict THE actual DNA of THE actual offspring, only possibilities in statistical terms.

You could possibly isolate a gene and narrow your choices down by a lot for that particular trait it controls. For example, if you know your parents both have blue eyes, then your eyes can only be blue-kind of thing

Hope that helps

Absolutely not. Mendelian genetics describes how there is a pair of genes for every characteristic or phenotype. Gregor Mendel showed that there is a process of random association of those pairs. That means that there is no certainty as to which of each pair will come from either parent. In addition there is a process of genetic crossing over that modifies the characteristic of each of those genes that will effectively mix-up those genes. The end result is after the fact one can determine the parentage of offspring from the DNA but one could never exactly predict the DNA of the offspring from the parents.

base on the past studies, yes we can predict the offsprings from their parents but according to the latest studies (as of 2005) DNA testings is not accurate anymore for the reason that scientists prooved that it is not 100% accurate their is a 5% feasibility to predict the offspring from parents

Yes, it is. Parents contain the same genes as its children, just like it can pass on poisons and medical conditions. Many things can be transferred from parent to child, including DNA. Even though some children don't look that much like their parents, as is often the case with humans, they still contain much of their mother's and father's DNA.

yes because its what you inhertited from your parents..so like for instance [example.] my mom is a calm person and my dad likes to argue over little to big things, so i inhertited his gene and i fight with my mom alot...so genotypes of agrueing my dad is Bb and my mom is bb..... understand???
