Honestly, oil companies are not whats dividing the country. Check this out, for President Bush hes just sitting there realizing the truth, the truth is we dont want a democratic Iraq.

Cause the majority of Iraqis are ...Shiites. The same people in Iran... this is partly to blame for the reason Saddam was hated by Iran, he and his Sunni minority managed to keep 60% of the country which were Shiites in check by ruling with an iron fist.

So now out of power the Sunnis are saying we're screwed.

The Kurds they just want their own spot.

And the Shiites are saying like it or not if we go with the American way .. we take over.. if we go our way.. we take over. So they dont care about getting rid of the militias and etc.

Thats why the Iraqi president just reprimanded Bush's entire "benchmark" statements and their raid on his "brethren" in Sadr City.

As far as oil, Sunnis dont have any under their land. Shiites and Kurds have most of the oil where they are primarily located.

So once again Sunnis feel unsecure about their position cause well... they have to ask the others too share.
