i am looking to buy a new drumset soon to replace my Pearl Export Select. Price range is between $1000 and $5000. i would prefer makers that can use acrylic shells. let me know. and thanks for your help.

Ludwig do some great acrylic shells, but if you don't mind spending a few bucks, have a look at Noble Cooley, DW or Gretch, if you're not afraid of putting in a bit of work yourself, then go to Precisiondrums.com. you can put together your ideal drum kit.
Slingerland are well made, but a bit pricey, but the gretch kits are pretty good too.

theres a custom drum company from austin texas called Fibes they have acrylic shells, Orange county, Truth, apple, C & C, there are more that i just cant think of, you can find more online.
