When Besty played you had to be very skillful to run with the ball the way he did because some defender like Chopper Harris would break his bloody legs if he didn't.
Nowadays I'd say that he would be able to be stopped but he'd still be the best thing sicne sliced bread in much the same way Henry is.

I'm not a football fan but I'd say yes , i have never seen another player run the entire length of the pitch without once losing the ball despite numerous attempts by the opposition to tackle and shoot for the goal and score ?

As that is an impossibility, we can only remember that at 21, there was no other footballer as good as he was. What a sad waste of skill - all for the sake of naive management mishandling, booze and other vices.

If George was alive today he would probably be awaiting his third liver transplant-not good for playing premiership football.Seriously though I felt cheated of 10 more years of his brilliance because of his stupidity.

Well, use unrealistic superlatives if you want, it won't make him a better player, as he was obviously 'stoppable'. On the ball or otherwise.
