I think perfume is just as much for others as it is for ourselves. Kinda like deodrant not for me to smell but for me not to smell.

No it's not. Just because you can't smell it does not mean the people you are trying to attract can't smell it. You wearing perfume attracts people to you. As long as it is a good smell.

I think not. Think of your public - all the people you come into contact with while you venture outside. They might appreciate the aroma you are giving off. This, of course, works only if you have chosen a pleasant smelling fragrance. Ask a friend what they might go with, or try a floral sent. also a light dab on the neck will do as apposed to bathing in it - overdoing it would have a negative affect. Remember, this is coming from a guy who has smelt some nice ones (perfumes) while on my way to work! Give this advice a try :-)

You're lucky you can't smell the nasty stuff. I used to be a cab driver and women would get in reeking of perfume. It was always a pleasure to let them out.

yes. it is pointless to indulge in anything you can't have a sense of. contrary to what some people say, the wearing of scents is for the wearer first and foremost. if you like the idea of wearing it then do so, if not then don't. i take your question as a serious query and i hope my answer helps.

not at all. in my mind perfume is less for the wearer than it is for those around. smell is the most potent link to memory so whenever anyone smells the same perfume they will likely think of you. the only thing is you would need to be careful, you wouldn't want to put on too much!

Perfume is more for the attraction and plesant of others and can be nice if carefully applied and part of hygiene. It was important in the earlier todays when there was no deodrant and baths was far between due to the bathing process envolved boiling water and etc. the best advice can be sought free at one of those perfume counters at the mall where they can assist you and recommend how to apply it.

My initial reaction was to say, "Wear it for the sake of your coworkers!" But then I remember the golden rule of perfume: if you can smell yourself, you have too much on. I wouldn't risk it unless you can convince someone to perform a scent check every morning.
