Are you doing it from home? Are you behind a router? A firewall?

Too many questions to ask, BUT, if it goes modem -> router -> computer, then do this.

Start -> run -> type "cmd" without quotes -> type "ipconfig" without quotes -> you want to look at the 2nd line, IP Address......

It MAY be something like 192.168.0.###, or it could be something weird if you dont have a router. If you do have a router, hopefully you know how to forward ports. You want to get into the router and go to where it lets you do this. You have to look up the port that SC uses too, cant remember what it is off the top of my head. Forward that to your IP and see if it works.

check if you have a firewall running.
When mines on i can't host games,but i can join them
