then here is my wish list:
Dell Axim x51v for all-around capabilities and performance
Palm Tungsten T5 for multimedia performance
Palm Treo 700 (Palm or WM) for basic phone feature.

x51v and T5 both have zippy processors (614 MHz and 416 MHz XScale) and enough memory to throw around. Treo is a nice phone.

I have a palm pilot zire 72 and it hasn't failed me yet. the lifedrive is better though
