If you havent seen the ad, you can watch it here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6519714054634112418&q=michael+j+fox+stem

What do you think about Fox's political commercial? Do you think his tremors are exaggerated in the ad as some have suggested? Keep in mind that in his book, Fox admits to having gone off his medication when making political appearances like the one he made before a senate committee on stem cell research. Even if that is true do you think it is wrong?

Older_Fat_Male, this is for you. I rarely listen to Rush and I wasn't quoting him. I was referring to what Fox said in his book. He said he has gone off his meds to help make his point. Period. Take your ignorant bable somwhere else. Can you hug with nuclear arms? Your a moron.

I've seen medical testimony on CNN news claiming the the shakes were a side effect of his medication, which he took just before the tapings.

Even so, what he's doing isn't wrong at all. He's not getting political, he's getting personal. He doesn't use party names, only the names of those running, and supports those who support stem cell research.

He's even supported a Rhode Island Republican for supporting it.

This isn't political, this is a dying man with an agenda to live.

Are you defending Rush??? okay let me ask you this Was Micheal J. Fox out of line when he made a commercial for Arlen Specter ? Was Nancy Reagan out of line advocating for stem cell research? You know I didn't get to read his book so I gotta be honest about that but if you didn't read it either and some talking head on your radio or TV said it ,I'd be careful quoting it as gospel if you care about your own honesty. Remember Parkinson's is a progressive desease and MJF is living under a death sentence and he knows no matter what happens it's too late for him he's championing the cause for future people who will get this horrible illness. Richard Pryor and Ali both got real shaky from there illness were they "acting'? there is NO justification for what Rush had to say and he should be taken off the airwaves. HATE IS NOT A FAMILY VALUE!!!!!!!

Toju Jesus, very well put. The most brilliant thing I've seen you say.

To those that are bad-mouthing MJF: Ask yourself what you would do if you were him. He has endorsed candidates on both sides, so it is not political. I know I'd be doing the same thing he is doing. Why do people love to hate so much?

and to those of you with names like "Shaker Faker" and "Michael Shake Fox": Grow up, get a clue, stop hating, get an education, or just go away.

I don't care if it is fake or not but he is making a political statement and when you do that there will be people who have questions about that statement. He has the right to make the commercial but we also have the right to question his motives when the commercial is based on lies and not facts. No one is stopping stem cell research I just don't want tax dollars funding it. Use private money from Hollywood.

The medications for Parkinson's' Disease don't cure or even manage the disease well. They only mask the symptoms so that the sufferer is able to function better. After some time, as the disease progresses, they do not even do this well. The truth is never wrong, although it may be unpleasant...

no, i do not think his tremors are exaggerated in the ad as some have suggested. it is possible he could of gone off his medication , do i think that is wrong ?no. he has the disease, plain and simple. that is what the disease does to you. what if you were one of the americans that had the disease and could not afford the medication to control the disease.is that not a good point he could of also been stressing.

I think that it is real look into the life of someone with Parkinson's. A lot of people cannot afford their drugs anyway. It is not a pretty sight to see someone suffer wit the disease. Rush needs to take a few of his many "chill" pills to get him though this.

This was just more Right Wing trash. His doctors admit he was not off his meds. When before the Senate, he admitted he did it to show what that disease actually does. Being very aware what neurological diseases can do, they should do everything possible to find a cure.
