okayy so for example how would you solve:

A= P(1+r)t
Solve for P

what the heck is that little t after the parenthesis??

A= P(1+r)^t

Methinks It should read as this is the compound interest formula
Then P = A/((1 + r)^t)

If not then P = A/((1 + r)*t)

I think it's supposed to be an exponent. With lame fonts like this one, you usually wirte it as

A = P(1 + r)^t.

Regardless, solving this for P is ridiculously easy. The right side says P times something (the something is (1 + r)^t).

If you want to get the P by itself, just "unmultiply" what is multiplied. Since the opposite of multiplication is division, just divide both sides by that "something". Divide both sides by (1 + r)^t to get

A/(1+r)^t = P

I think this is formula for calculating the compound interest? t is the term, number of years. To find t, you need to find n. n = mt, where m is the number of conversion periods per years (annually, semiannually, monthly).

Compound interest formula: A = P (1+r) ^ n

Or the accumulated amount of the simple interest?

Accumulated amount formula for simple interest: A = P (1 + rt)

If you are just looking for algebra, then to solve for P is:

A ( 1 + r ) / t = P

Just get P by itself by dividing both sides by (1 + r)t

So P= A/(1 + r)t

most like the t is power of (1+r)
with your keyboard you cannot type it correctly

P= A divided by (1+r) to the t power

The question asks you in looking "if six hundred represents one hundred what does 174 symbolize?" six hundred ->one hundred 174 -> ? which interprets to an mathematical equation ? = (one hundred*174)/six hundred ? = 29 So the respond is 29 %. of six hundred is 174. in distinctive words an comparable sentence transaltes to "174 is 29 %. of six hundred"
