i would have to go with John Dolmayan from System of a Down. This guy's insane, he is so underated, I have seen him drum, hes amazing. He is definetely the best part of System of a Down

While I think it has to be Buddy Rich, another great drummer that no one ever mentions here is Sandy Nelson. He actually recorded a song that made the charts back in the 60's called Let There Be Drums which was simply great. It was also on a album he put out. ar ound the same time.

comparing drummers is a bit unfair, and kinda making things too hard, JD is great with system, but I don;t know how he's go with, say barry manillow, so how much of it is how well he works with the rest of the band, and what actuall skill he has on his own?
My favorite drummers, and this is only the very short list are, Joe Morrello, Kieth Moon, Buddy Rich, Terru Bozzio, Chick Webb,
I like each of them for different reasons, and ultimately like their music,
