I bought 4 Epson replacement ink cartridges for a really low price, so I knew some problems were bound to happen sooner or later, but how can I fix this problem?

I have: Epson Stylus C82 printer
Windows XP OS
Epson RC 321-324 replacment cartridges

The computer simply will not recognize only the Yellow cartridge for some reason, even though it recognizes and used to print with the other 3.

if the printer does not recognize the cartridge then unfortunately there is nothing you can do to make it work, outside of getting a new cartridge. The chip on the epson cartridge works as an on off switch. When the cartridge is empty, defective or not installed the printer recognized that and places the switch in the off position preventing the printer from working. The only way to get around this is to reset the chip (this requires a chip re-setter, most places the refill cartridge can do it for you, or they can be purchased for about $20). If that fails then unfortunately you will need to replace the cartridge.

If it is a simply warning screen that states the cartridge is not an epson original do no expect optimal results, you can simply click ok and it will go ahead and print.

You might try priming the cartridge. You can do this with a syringe and some paper towels. fold the paper towels up really thick, find the fill hole on the cart and then pull the plunger back all the way on the syringe. now pump all the air into the cart while the print head sits on the paper towels.
Or, did you take the little plastic strip off the cart?

I had the same problem. Had to make sure the cartridges were clicked in. I thought they were in but had not heard them click. You may have to unplug your printer and replug it. It happen with my firends Cannon.
I love my epson C84.
