I found a 3" long, dark brown, VERY thin worm crawling on my ceiling, with tiny hairs all over it, and 2 antennae on its head. It is much much thinner than an earthworm, more like the diameter of a thin string. Any ideas what it is? Should i be cringing with fear? Thanks.

Perhaps a millipede?, though a ceiling is an odd place for a millipede to show up.

With the hairs and antennae it sounds like a centipede. many of them can sting, so I wouldn't touch it. Scrape it onto a piece of paper and shoo it outside.

definitely a space alien.

Don't bother going to the doctor if you already touched it.
