So i began sketching out some plans with my mom tomorrow... but a friend of mine (who i tried making plans with originally) suddenly became free, and i'd rather hang out with her... but i did firm up my plans with my mom... however, the catch is i also made plans with my friend in between the process with making plans with my mom.

this is a tough situatoin. what is the most appropriate course of action? cancel my friend or cancel my mom?

If your going to cancel you should cancel the friend. Why cant you hang out with mom earlier, wrap it up as quick as you can and then hang out with your friend. That way everybody is happy.

Cancel with your friend. Your mom is probably counting on spending some time with you.

not such a classy guy if your thinking about cancelling plans with you moms...

live up to your name and cancel with your friend... she might be a little impressed that your spending time with your moms...
