Ignore him. There are so many more things to be worried about. Don't spend any more time thinking about this.

Unless he puts his hands on you...there is no reason to fight. Go out, enjoy the dance, have a good time. And about having an ex-boyfriend in the 3rd grade...from the tone of this question...it sounds like you , your ex-boyfriend, and best friend are way too young to be getting involved in a serious thing like dating. Enjoy your youth...there will be plenty of time to get involved in serious relationships. But for now...my advice is to have fun, keep singing, keep dancing, because before you know it...the time is going to come when you will look back on your time as a teen/pre-teen and say...."Where did all that time go?"

U really sound too young to be on here, but just be the bigger person (and the one who won't get in trouble!) and stay away from him. If you see him walking in your direction, casually begin to walk the other way, acting as though you see someone you want to talk to or just walk up to a teacher and start talking. He definitely won't approach you if you are near another adult, even if it isn't a teacher. He doesn't want to get in trouble either. Just play it cool and stay outta trouble. He isn't worth getting suspended or grounded over. Plus if he is willing to hit a girl, he is one wussy of a boy, and will not amount to anything as a man, so don't sweat him!

Be the bigger person by brushing him off. Unfortunately, him calling you a name sounds like his way of "flirting." Back in my day, the boys would chase me. Tell him it hurts your feelings. If you beat him up, then it will follow you for the rest of your life. I used to be a bully and it still follows me to this day. Looking back, I wish I wouldn't have been such a bully.
