If you remove the nuts from the bolts of the washing machine feet but then screw the feet back in in order to lower a Bosch Classixx will this have any bad effects or will everything work as it did before? Having trouble getting the washing machine under the work surface and removing the bolts would make the difference.

On a front load bosch, very very important it's level & doesn't rock in spin, with the legs up into the washer as far as they go (tight) if it's still level when you get it in place you won't have any problems.

Washing Machine Feet

Most of the others have answered this question fairly well.
I have found in the past that it is OK to totally remove the feet PROVIDED that the machine is truly level , you can use" shims "of old thin plywood for minor irregularities.
One point that the others missed was that the water connections should NOT be behind the machine, they should be located in the next compartment along with the electrical outlet, so that the machine does'nt stick out from the rest of the units.
For some reason that baffles me, builders put the fittings BEHIND the machine, even though the manufacturers say " TO BE FITTED IN THE ADJACENT COMPARTMENT"
It makes sense as its easily turned off in an emergency.

The point of these is to help stabilize and level the machine so the washtub spins properly. Just make sure you put them back on the same way, and ensure levelness. The machine will tell you when it's not level, by "going nuts" when it spins a load on that setting. I'm trying to envision your work area, and it sounds as though you have made a built-in area for the washer, and it must fit within a tight area. You should be able to level the feet; I just pull my washer upright and toward me to allow the feet to pop and level in the back, and push away and up to allow the front feet to level. Most washers are self-levelling this way. If you are unable to do this because it is built in, then you may have problems with shaking and so on. If so, try inserting one of those slip-proof mats under it and it may help it to grip the floor better.

If you remove those nuts the vibration will cause the legs of the washing machine to get unbalanced. They lock the machine legs in place and stop the machine becoming uneven.

Get a level, and put it on the washer front to back and side to side. Adjust the feet if needed. The feet are also there for a cushion. When you have heavy loads and the washer is just sitting on the floor it may do a dance across your floor and could damage it if you don't use the feet.

If you are going to be turning the legs all of the way into the machine there should be no problem. The nuts are there to "lock" the legs from turning when the machine is moved.

The nuts are locknuts to hold the legs from screwing in from the vibration of the washer. If you screw the legs all the way in anyway, they cannot go anywhere. Just screw them in and slide it under your counter. Hope you use stainless steel hoses and built a pan under the washer to prevent water damage to the ceiling below.

if you can put the nuts back on inside of the machine where the bolt comes up from. of course make sure the machine is level and tighten the nuts securely. always unplug your machine when working on it. good luck.

The nuts are there to lock the feet to the correct height when adjusted. I have never locked them, and have no problems.
Take the nuts off, keep them in case.
