American rock or British rock?

British Rock all the way, baby!!

And i'm not just saying that because im british....I think the facts speak for themselves: The Beatles, Oasis, Sex Pistols

That being said, my world would feel empty without Nirvana, so I have to say that America did yield some top class Rockers!!

But the thing with British Rock is that it just keeps on evolving into different and more complicated types and genres so it never gets old or boring (there's over 20 types of rock here!!) My favourite modern day rockers from the UK are Muse (they are sort of a cross between Led Zepplin and grunge-ish rock)

The British gave us The Beatles, Queen, The Zombies, Dave Clark Five, Donovan, Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello, Rockpile, Squeeze, The Rolling Stones, The Hollies, and David Bowie.

America gave us Talking Heads, The Byrds, Bob Dylan, The Lovin' Spoonful, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, The Everly Brothers, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins.

It's a tough call, but most of my record collection is made up of British music.

It depends on what you want.

If you want a "hook", look no further than the Beatles and the Stones et al.

If you want the best guitar solos, Jimi and Stevie Ray and Phish and their jammin' brethren are the way to go.

I love both flavors, myself.

both...how can you choose...but i am talking bout the old stuff, led zep, the who, jimmy hendrix, doors, ac/dc...i love it all, but i am definately more of an 80's headbanger leftover!
