Vicious Sex offences on Children!!! Proper Punishment....???

I live in Canada....And I must say that I am not satisfied with the sentences that violent sex offenders are handed. To me, they deserve to be treated as a murderer, and punished to the FULL extent of the law. Especially with the vicious sex crimes against SMALL DEFENSELESS CHILDREN!! It disgusts me!! Most of them, get this light sentence, protective custody, and parole in a few years. Then they are free to DO IT AGAIN!!! I would even opt for a death penalty if I could be 110% sure they were guilty. And DNA would prove that!!! ( But Canada has no death penalty) It just seems to me, that it is treated too lightly for the pain and neverending suffering they cause. What are your views???

I am think I should make this MORE CLEAR....SMALL CHILDREN = Ten years and YOUNGER!!!! And if someone I KNEW did this to a child, whether he was FAMILY or just a friend, should be severly punished!!!!

I live in America, and laws against child predators are not strict enough in my state either. I believe that in many cases, molestation, rape & sexual abuse is equally harmful if not worse than murder. The poor victim is going to have problems for the rest of his or her life because of a child predator, And in some instances, the victim grows up and becomes a predator. (i.e. Mark Foley)

In my state, many judges will do deferred adjudicaton for first-time offenders. When they commit again, they get life in prison with no chance of parole. The inmates treat sex offenders the worst - often doing what the offender themselves did.

In cases of abuse such as these, child sex offenders should get life in prison or death, hands down. They haven't just robbed a liquor store or sold some pot - they ruined the life of a child and potentially other children. There is no excuse, no justificatoin for harming someone who is defenseless.

Every cause has an effect. If you have sex, you will more then likely get pregnant. (Even with the evils of "the pill", you still can be with child). I am Catholic, I am Pro-Life, I know and love (not sexual, but love from the heart) many people who have had an abortion. It is neither up to me nor any pro-life person to judge anyone, but if they truly love you, they will warn you when you are about to sin. True love wants what is best for the other. Our messed up secular society is so far from God and His love that most people see kids has a punishment, a truly religious person sees kids for what they truly are, a blessing from God. The Bible says that through motherhood you can be brought closer to God. Know God and know happiness. If you know anyone who is pregnant, abortion will not solve the problems, it just adds to it. Scientific studies prove that abortion can lead to cancer and there is such a thing as post abortion depression syndrome. (Forgive me, I know I have the name wrong, but that’s close.) If a pregnant lady cannot take care of the child, I know of several couples who cannot have children and would love to adopt a baby. Having a baby is not a punishment, nor do any pro-life people that I know, would say it is a punishment. Babies are a blessing. Abortion leaves one dead & one wounded, if you must choose, “choose life”. Deuteronomy 30: 19 - I call heaven and earth today to witness against you: I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Choose life, then, that you and your descendants may live. (I will pray for you.)

Cases of molestation and rape of children disgust me more then any other crime. I think that pedophiles should at the very least spend the rest of their lives in jail. They are the lowest scum around and even rapists and murderers don't want to live in the same facility with them. The laws are too lenient and forgiving, leaving much room for error and too many to be let loose to search for more victims. Lock them all up and throw away the key, forever. Let them ROT!!!!!!

I say apply a 3-strikes type thing.

1st time= severe sentance of like 10-15years with parole only after 90% of the sentance has been served. Mandatory counciling in jail and for 5 years after release (possibly longer if needed). Habitual registration no matter what city/state they move to. If convicted of child sexual assault, or 1st degree rape, they must wear a GPS monitor at all times to ensure no parole violation.

2nd time= severe sentance plus chemical castration. No parole possible.

3rd time= death or life in solitary with restricted visitors. No parole possible.

This would apply on a per victim basis. Say the dude is convicted on 3 counts at once, automatic jump to second or third strike.

This is only for those convicted of 'severe/violent' sex crimes, not of things like 'indecent exposure' or for a 17 year old who has sex with his 16 year old girlfriend/boyfriend.

When it comes to the sentence, I also believe it is completely ridiculous and an easy let-off. The thing is, many girls almost ask to get molested. You have 12 year olds in mini-skirts. However, that is not of importance at this time... I believe that however the rapist/offender violated the child, they should have similar things done to them. They rape a small child....they get Bubba in cell 2 every night before bed pounding him in orifices. When the crime is severe and numerous, I think the offender should be killed. I am not a big fan of letting serious criminals rot in prison, considering us tax payers provide their food, clothes, etc. I think they should be executed, and not just strapped to an electric chair.....make the death/punishment suit the crime!

I am not a huge fan of the bible, but I believe the bible says that rapist should be stoned to death.

Sounds like a good way of dealing with these people. And the family of the victims should get to go first.

I have only HEARD that back when the Indians Ruled our lands, the Indian Women tended to the offenders curving their habits in a timely manner. Indian Women are fewer as time goes on...........sex offenders......in the ranks of national leadership....

Death is too good for a child molester. I say torture, lots and lots of torture for a very, very long time. Then death. A child molester is killing the child and causing a lifetime of torture for the scared and battered shell they leave behind.

DEFINATELY ON SMALL CHILDREN THEY SHOULD THROW AWAY THE KEY OR TAKE OFF SEX ORGANS ECT... MY THOUGHT! ALTHOUGH I THINK SADLY WE ARE IN A TIME WHEN TEENAGE GIRLS 15-17 ARE SEXUALLY ACTIVE AND THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT A 18-24 ECT..
