After browising over net, i got this information on the symbolism of sun (represented in tarot cards) hope it helps.
Sun gives light, he is the generator and sustainer of life, celebrates life and happiness, the sun gives and nourishes life, in fact, only the existence of the sun makes life possible. Without sun, no life. The sun makes people feel more alive and happy.

Without the sun, nothing living in the world would survive. Without it we can't see, can't be warm and are literally lost. It's just like Albert Einstein said: There is no darkness. It is just the term we use for the absense of light. There is no cold, for it is only the absense of heat.
The sun keeps everything alive.
