I made a mask out of paper mache and then i used modeling clay over top of the paper mache, is there anyway I can bake it to make it hard?

Sure, a low temp is the answer. You might want to test a piece of clay first to make sure it doesn't crack at the temp you want to use it as. I'd say you could go as low as 150 or even 100 degrees on the oven, if 200 is too much. (Note: 40 to 100 degrees C -- I wouldn't go any higher than 100 C/200F).

If the test clay does crack, you can experiment with having a cake pan of water on a lower rack, and the clay on the top rack. I'd use a rack for the mask to sit on -- don't use a baking tray (like a cookie tray) because the air won't circulate as well.

Forty minutes may or may not be enough to do the job. Just keep checking until it is properly done.

Oh, and like papier mache, you may be happier building the mask up in thin layers rather than a big layer at one time.

Pls. comment on how it went, OK? I want to know (-:.

Sure, set your oven to 200 f and bake it for maybe 40 minutes.

I wouldn't do it. The papier mache might burn.
