Start, Run, type dxdiag, OK. When the box comes up click Display. All your video card info is there. If it has 3-D acceleration it will show "Enabled" in the Direct X Features section. Good Luck.

You could open the case and take a look at the video card. It will have the model and manufacturer on it. Then you can look up its characteristics.

Or, if you are running Windows XP you can go to the System Information utility, then look under Components/Display to find out the model and then look it up.
