I am making a venn diagram (compare and contrast) for Democracy and dictatorship for homework.

You have to list what is different about them and what is the same.

there are many similarities...

compare
philosophically the people still hold a major power in the country even though in a dictatorship it may not be as prevelent.
both can be very well run and balanced governments, dictatorships can run smoothly and nicely
and both can hold elections (even though the elections may not be very fair, they can be held though if the dictator permits it)
contrast
one man rules or one party in a dict. and demo. the people hold the power
the goverments that are dic. usally seem to be corrupt (not always) and democ. seems to be more stable and not nearly as corrupt
in a dictatorship there is much less human rights than in a dem.

First you should find a clear definition of each at lease 1 page long then, search and find words that match - for example if you were going to do cats and dogs you would search fur and that would be a similarity, and tongues would be a contrast.
