no zoning law against it
the enterior is insulated and built out to accomadate living in
windows and doors lined up just like when they are used for an office

i know you can out in the county, if it's not against ordinances in the city then you can. i live outside of dallas and there are lots of these buildings out in the country. beautiful on the inside..

Yes, and it is a good sturdy way to go! Many people are going with steel roofing anyway to get through all of the hail storms that we have. There are at least two different types of construction - one takes a standard metal building built like a commercial shop building and interior walls are added to provide typical building for the inside of the house. I have also seen one constructed with metal studs where the exterior walls are integral with the interior walls. I personally prefer the design where the interior walls are separate - you get more air space for insulation, etc.. The windows on these designs are a little more difficult, but nothing hard. The walls can be bricked very easily. If I were to build a new house, I would go metal. Just make sure there are no zoning laws against it. Our small town has no such laws in place as yet.

there is no restriction for building a home out of steele. However most neighborhoods will have owners association restrictions,.. the property would need to be rural. depending upon witch region you are considering building in,....the climate of that region should always be considered

you can build your house out of anything as long as it meets building and zoning codes.
