I noticed when i asked a question just say about a hour ago. I was critized for my spelling. Have you ever thought that english is my secondary language. How many americans do you know that can speak milti. langauge.... By the way i have been to south Korea,afgan.,Iraq,and many more countries. I also see why the rest of the world feels the way they do just by your response....ha...ha ..lol.. you know who you are.. thank you and have a good day..

Some people on this site are just addicted to perfect grammar and spelling.
They should try being english teachers to middle school and elementary school students. They would justly go nuts.

You do raise a good point.
But being an American, I'm afraid you are lumping a large number of good in with a few bad.
Whatever you do don't judge Americans based off of what you see here.
People of all countries answer questions here behind the safety of their computers and will say things they otherwise would not say because they feel protected.
As to us Americans all speaking one language mainly remember our one country is about the size of all of Europe. When we travel from State to State very often it is the same as if someone in Europe is traveling country to country. It just so happens that based on historical events our entire country speaks mainly 1 language. Which makes things much much easier.
In other parts of the world you do not have that luxury and are forced to learn more than one language to get along.
So really we both are products of our environment.
But again having said that you do raise a good point in that people should not be as critical. But then again there is a Check Spelling button just inches away... (Not that I ever bother clicking it either though... lol)

Hey Lee...there is this little thing that yahoo provides, check it out... it's a little icon and next to it are the words "check spelling", give it a try. Do you think you are the only person that has traveled the world or that speaks multiple languages? Your not! I, and most of my American friends and family members speak and can read and write in multiple languages as well; fluently as a matter of fact. And like you, I have also traveled the world. I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with you, grow up!

If english is not your first language, take advantage of the spell check feature and get to know the proper spellings of words that you make mistakes on. It makes your work look more professional and doesn't give the nitpickers a reason to go after you.

I saw the answer that was posted on your original question and my response would be not to worry because she can't spell either. If we concentrated less on other peoples trivial errs in life and concentrated more on what we can do in our own lives to be better people, this world would be a better place.

Don't bother youself or worry about what they say, who cares , speaking or spelling any language had never been the ultimate goal , it 's just a way to communicate. those who criticize you have nothing to do with the proper way to communicate.

i agree with you...people of all cultures tend to assume that just because a person doesn't speak thier language perfectly then that person is stupid...however that person could speak 6 different languages...and you could only speak that one...i abhor intolerant people...however when you know that that person's first language is English and they refuse to sound at least semi-intelligent when stating a question then that makes me mad also...i don't have to listen to illiterate rednecks as they make fun of people that don't agree with them....it would be a lot better it they at least spelled stoopid correctly....lol...i mean you have spell check for gosh sakes....
