Start looking now. At my work our applications are good for 4 months so when you find a place you like just ask them how soon you can apply. Most places will hold a unit for you for 30 days with a security deposit. SO i would definitely start looking now! it may seem too soon but you'll be happy you started soon. You never know, it may be hard to find the right apartment for you so this gives you plenty of time to check out your options

As soon as you notify your landlord of your plan to move, normally 30 days notice before. You should be able to find a new apartment in plenty of time even if you have a bad credit, but be prepared to spend all that 2000 dollars, depending of course, of your requirements for an apartment you want.

I would start looking now. Do not wait until you give your current landlord notice because depending on the market that you are in you could wind up on a waiting list for 60-90 days for the apartment that you want. Thats how it is where I manage apartments at. Good luck

Now. Apartment complexes know (for the most part) what they will have open months ahead of time. You could sign a lease today to move in in February.

You need to start looking early as openings will fill up quickly.

Apartment complexes usually accept thrity day notices to vacate from their current residents, some accept sixty day notices. So searching around thirty days prior to your desired moving date would be ideal. That way you can get a feel for what each landlord actually has available within the thirty day period.

Today is good.
Always look at apartments on rainy overcast days to see how depressing it may be.

Now. Because sometimes you have to be on a waiting list to get what you want.
