Foreigner, I think 'here there and everywhere' your Guinness book of records may have it wrong! I have it on the bands first self titled album which was released in 1977. However I did get mine in Canada so may be it came out earlier there???

To put everyone out their misery (at least those who answered) according to the bible of pop the Guinness book of records (I love this book) Foreigner released this in '78 reaching no.24 (in the UK) and then '85 remixed not even charting in the top 50. As reported M.O.P released it in 2001 reaching no.4. Supertramp have not had a hit in the UK with this song.

Originally it was the 'foreigner', singing... your as cold as ice willing to sacrifice...

It has been covered by some cheesy crappy mainstream pop group, you can search it on itunes and it will bring you clips of the various versions if you type in 'cold as ice'!!!
