I wear my brown suede birki's with white socks and long jeans all the time. Alot of guys at my school do the same too.

uh, What color shirt and are they Blue Jeans?...if anything in there is black then ixnay the ogsclay ; no matter what color the socks turn out to be-- Unless the shirt is brown and black...in a general sense white socks are always OK with Jeans...casual is casual and so are white socks...

Matching your socks to either your shoes or your pants will give you a longer, leaner look. Light colored socks with dark pants and shoes could look a little odd...also, with the cooler weather now, wardrobes are shifting into darker, richer colors. I'd go with a darker color choice on the socks.

clogs + socks = bad
I am wearing them right now, no socks. Wear tights or nylons for warmth & comfort. If you are a guy, as your avatar suggests, skip the clogs altogether.
