I filled up this morning and never said "yes" or "no" to wanting a receipt, therefore practically leaving my receipt there. Do you think if the wrong person pulled up next they could get any info from it or am I paranoid?

The info they would get would be almost totally useless. They might find out your name, what time you pumped your gas, and how much you pumped, but your card number will be scrambled (usually something like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-1234). So they won't be able to steal any money from your account or do identity theft.

I seriously doubt it because those receipts normally only show the last 4 digits of your card number.

No.
On the receipt, only the last 4 digits of your card will show.
I don't think there's much you can do with that.

No, the computer resets the pump just a few seconds after the sale.

i think you better cal the credit card company and tell them to stop all payments after you bought the gasoline. then you will not be responsible if some one does get your number and charges things to you.

I only used the info to fill up my car and get a cup of coffee.

I won't use it again, I promise.
