Well, I think the pursuit of personal pleasure above all else...is kinda frightening. Granted, personal pleasure should certainly be up to the individual and any other consenting adults engaged in those kinda endeavors...but as a philosophy...it's very very shallow to base your life on it.

However....the fact that he was able to publish (even his works that he published anonymously), back then is amazing...even though it resulted in a lot of jail time. I do believe that the world needed him to write what he did in order to shake up generations of writers and philosophers that were to come after him.

He was once an overly disturbed man or woman. My philosophy in lifeis whatever is going as long as it's consensual. It is my expertise that a few of his exploits weren't consensual with the opposite celebration. That's while it turns into an drawback with me. Otherwise, my vigour to him. I'm thinking role model. Me and my friend Lou were talking about this just the other day. Everybody craps all over of us. But that dude got respect. With a capital R. He didn't have to buy beers and s*** for all the babes. I don't think he got beat up a lot either. Lou says he could take him, but he was so drunk, I don't expect he could hit anything. Cept maybe the floor with his face. Ok, this mark guy has a goofy name but he got past that. Do you know what bar he hangs out at?

Brilliant author but a bit of a weirdo.

I appreciate his work but wouldn't leave him alone in a house with a female member of my family (or friend..... or anyone for that matter).

Let's face it, anyone who has this dictionary entry for a word coined about him must be a little odd to say the least:

Sadism:

1. The deriving of sexual gratification or the tendency to derive sexual gratification from inflicting pain or emotional abuse on others.
2. The deriving of pleasure, or the tendency to derive pleasure, from cruelty.
3. Extreme cruelty.

I'm balancing my nail soled shoes on his back while he swings from the ceiling, hog-tied and gagged, while hot wax drips on his *** from the rafters and I gently jump up and down, riding him like a meat surfboard.

Certainly not boring.
Nothing I could see myself applying to my life, though.
