Lets assume that you wont die of smoke inhalation first. That you will hang your head out the window while the flames slowly roast you as you scream horribly.

Wow, eloquently put. Well, I think I would have to jump. At least if I jump I know it will be quick with minimal suffering as opposed to a slow, agonizing death. And hey, if I jump there is always the possibility that I will land just right and walk away with a couple of broken bones.

I think the funniest part about this question is that it's in the "Entertainment" section (albeit of the "Other" category). Definitely, my first instinct would be to jump, but if I could try and climb down the walls by using the ledges outside (if any), I would try and do that... Ugh. I hope I never have to choose between these options in real life!!!

Jump just like they did on 9-11-2001 at the World Trade Centers.

Seems to me that's why alot of people were jumping out of the Twin Towers 5 yrs ago. Fear of burning alive versus dying of a heart attack before they hit the ground.

I would devise some kind of rudimentray device ( Galaxy Quest). No. Sorry, seriously. I don't know it would probably wind up that I would jump, because it comes down to which is worst my fear of heights and falling to my death or the burning licking flames. I think the flames would win, you just would'nt be able to stand them.

Jump. Some people have survived their chute not opening on a skydive. At least then you've got a chance. Why? Work in a high rise and a lil nervous?

I wouldn't wait to get burned alive!! He ll no. I wouldn't jump either. I'd do my best to climb down or get to another building. But jumping to a hard concrete ground wouldn't be in my top 2 choices.

And this is in the entertainment section?? I'd jump, regardless of how many floors. Least I'd see a bit more of life on the way down, whatever the outcome.

I would probably jump. If you burn, the pain and suffering lasts longer but if you jump, its' over within seconds.
