A bunch of grapes...for a 37 week old prego woman...!
Purple balloons
a paper towel thingy with out the paper towel for the top stem
and a pair of green pants for the bottom stem.
and a purple shirt for underneath all the balloons
and what color should I paint my face?

Hmmm it sounds uncomfortable with all the balloons. Are you going to be able to sit down and/or pee without too much ordeal?
I'm not sure how big your tummy is yet but why not play it up? Perhaps you should go as a bum with a beer belly. Get a dirty stained white shirt a size or two too small so that your stomach sticks out. Put some 'scruff' or 'beard' on your face. Some oil stained jeans and an empty beer can in your hand. May be a lot more comfortable and probably funnier.

I had a friend who did this a number of years ago. She was very popular - everyone wanted to feel her balloons. By the end of the night we had a great big popping festival. I say go for it. She wore purple (lavendar, really) sweats underneath, and did something like you describe for the stem. Her husband came as green grapes (people were feeling his lower balloons HA!) It made a nice costume and everyone had fune.
Great idea.

Don't paint your face it sounds fine. You could look for a purple bathing cap and pop that on your head. What did the fruit of the Loom guy wear. A grape hat?? Can't remember.

I think it's a very cute idea and I would just leave your face plain and put regular make up on. I think you will be more comfortable if you sweat or something and you won't have to worry about the face paint rubbing off in spots or getting it on someone else if you hug or kiss them.

Very creative! Paint it purple. If anything goes wrong with the green paints, try a grass skirt, and paint your face yellow.

And keep in mind that *you* could pop any minute, too (-:. Bring make-up remover and a change of clothes to the party just in case you need to make a trip to the hospital (-:. What a great birth story *that* would be!
