No, that's just a myth. Even intense, consistent stretching will only barely lengthen your different connective tissues (muscles, ligaments, tendons, etc), but definitely not to the point where you would actually be taller. At the end of the day, its bone length that determines your height, not muscle. Now, since Ive said all that let me say this; in a way, both stretching and strengthening muscles can make you taller. Heres what I mean; strengthening you core muscles (stomach, back, etc) will improve you posture, making you stand and sit more erectly, which, in turn will make you seem taller even though you haven't actually grown any. I'm not sure if you are asking for yourself, your child, a friend, etc, but bottom line; genetics are what will decide your height. There are a few treatment for very young children who are not growing such as growth hormone and calcium supplementation that can add height but once you're done with puberty those are no longer options. Hope this helps!!

Stretching, yoga, and pilates will help with your posture, which will make your body look (and feel) more elongated. But you will still be about the same height as you have grown. Height is genetics and nutrition, so if you are still growing, keep a healthy diet and exercise program. Let nature do the rest. Girls finish growing at about 18. If you have already started your period, you will probably only grow about an inch more after that. Boys finish growing at about 20-22. Hope this helps. ;)

stretching wont necessarily make you taller, but it can help to keep you from shrinking... did you know that people are actually slightly shorter at the end of the day than they were at the beginning of the day? its because of gravity. stretching can help to loosen your joints to help keep you from shrinking as fast.
if you are looking for something else that may help you grow a bit taller.... try gravity inversion boots. in essence, they are boots with hooks on them. you mount a metal bar on your ceiling, then you put the boots on, hook them onto the bar, and hang upside down. this loosens up the spine.... it takes away your back aches, and if you do it daily, after a couple weeks, you will start to notice a slight increase in your height.

Ah no. I think sports have more to do than exercise. I have 2 brothers that are over 6 feet tall and played alot of sports, they got alot of cardio, used alot of muscles in their bodies. I played sports and I only got to be 5*8, but they played alot more than I did.
My parents are of average height. The only brother that didnt play sport stayed super short. He's 5*7.

Absolutely not. Genetics and good nutrition, but again genetics help with your height.
