People think time matters. Honestly I was with someone for 6 years and we never made it to the alter. There are people who dated and married within a year and have celebrated 25+ great years of marriage. The years mean nothing. What matters is if you are happy or not. Im sure your kids would rather have a happy mommy and daddy than fighting parents who cheat yell or disrespect eachother.

I do think it's a bad thing to wait just because there are young children in the house. 1. reason being it's only going to make those children see that there parents hate each other and some how think it's there fault. People need to sit the children down if their old enough and explain to them that mommy and daddy can't be together anymore because they don't love each other but that doesn't mean they don't love them and explain to them about how they will visit the other parent at their new house. And however long your married should have no baring on whether or not to wait. NOT loving each other anymore and staying together will hurt those kids in the end. specially if they see them fighting all the time..

It depends on the situation. If the marriage is poor and the kids are being affected by it, a divorce is the way to go. If it is possible to work through the problems, it's always best for the kids to have two parents together but only if they obviously get along and are respectful to each other.

It can quite often be good. My parents SHOULD have divorced however they decided to stay in their miserable marriage and make the rest of the family miserable as well. In the end my mom wound up resenting me for causing her to make a choice to stay in the lousy marriage (I was only 5 years old at the time she made this decision). If a couple truly can not get along and everyone is miserable then it would be better for everyone if they just split. There is nothing sadder than seeing a child sitting on the stoop of their home afraid to go inside because their parents are raging world war three. Childhood SHOULD be happy and loving not spent sitting on the stoop listening to your parents destroy the house along with their marriage.

Well sometimes one gets a divorce to prevent anymore unhappiness on their children. When your in a marriage with one that refuses to accept they have problems and won't seek help and it's affecting the kids then I'd say it's best to get out of the marriage especially for the children's sake.

Divorce is a horrible, horrible thing! especially when there's children involved! But I'll tell you what was told to me. If you have more bad days then good days, its time to go.

This is what you do when the wife is not satisfying your needs.
Wait till the kids are out of the house and *then* leave.
Until then, see a good massage therapist..............
